About Us
The training in Entrepreneurship is a programme for young aspiring entrepreneurs aged between 18- 35 years, who are unemployed and have a business idea. The course is held in collaboration with Ministry of Youth Empowerment Sports and Recreation and CONFEJES. It equips young people with the essential skills and knowledge needed to succeed in today’s competitive business environment. Young people have the opportunity to network with peers, engage in interactive workshops, and receive personalized feedback on their business ideas as well as on their business plan.
Objectives
The objectives of the training:
- To impart the necessary knowledge and skills required for organizing and carrying out entrepreneurial activities to the young people.
- To empower the young people so that they master the knowledge necessary to start or monitor their business effectively and efficiently.
- To help the young people to develop the ability of analysing and understanding business situations in which they will act.
- To provide the young people with information that are factual and comes from credible sources as well so that their business plan and strategies are thought out.
Note: Eligible participants can submit a business plan prescribed by CONFEJES which is primarily evaluated and preselected by the CNSS board in Mauritius. The best business plan is sent to Dakar, Senegal for final evaluation and can be awarded a prix bourse.
Start-up amounting to Rs 30,000 is also allocated by the Commission for Youth and Sports to a maximum of six participants whose projects are among the best.
