The Legal Services Department is responsible to provide sound and independent legal advice to all the departments and officers of the RRA.

Mission
  • To contribute to a fair and just legal system and the promotion of the rule of law, in the interest the RRA and the people

The Rodrigues Regional Assembly operates as a body corporate under the Rodrigues Regional Assembly Act, Which exercise its functions on behalf of the Republic of Mauritius. It is responsible for the formulation and implementation of the policy in respect of the areas under its jurisdiction.
