The Commission comprises of different sectors which include:

Veterinary Unit

• Provide quality veterinary service to breeders in order to ensure healthy and disease-free livestock
• Control importation and exportation of live animals

Ruminant Production Unit

• Promote ruminant livestock production in a view to increase productivity and revenue of farmer
•  Produce breeding stock for sale to farmers

Non- Ruminant Production Unit

• Promote pigs and poultry production in a view to increase productivity and revenue of farmer
• Produce breeding stock for sale to farmers
• Enhance and sustainable honey production development

Infrastructure & Transport Unit

• Survey agricultural state land in respect of the issue of Agricultural Permits
• Manage and monitor the use of agricultural state land
• Collect and distribute irrigation water to main agricultural clusters
• Provision of heavy agricultural machinery services

Staple Crop Production Unit

• Advise planters on agro-eco crop production and Organic Production
•  Planning and provision of mechanisation services to planters
• Promote staple crops, coffee and bean production and advice on good agricultural practices

Seed and Seedlings Production Unit

• Produce viable crops seeds and good quality fruit and ornamental seedlings
• Experiment, advise and share information in the field of Hydroponics and Organic Vegetable Production

Plant Health and PPO Unit

• Produce viable vegetable seeds
• Advise planters involved in sheltered farming and hydroponics and Organic Vegetable Production
• Promote integrated management of pest of economic importance
