CHILD DEVELOPMENT UNIT

Ensure that the rights of children are being respected and that they grow in a safe environment
Enforce the Children’s Act 2020 and implement policies and programmes for the welfare and protection of children
Provide for protection services to children victims of violence, abuse and neglect
Provide for hotline service with respect to reporting of cases and counselling as appropriate
Provide alternative care to abused children (temporary removal to a shelter , foster caring , etc.)
Attend to complaints received from children , parents , NGO’s, authorities and individuals
