About Us

Our objectives are to:

  • Promote public understanding and interest in the tourism industry
  • Develop and implement tourism and tourism related projects
Key Activities

Responsible for the issue of the licenses for the carrying out various activities in the tourism sector as well as their regulation in this respect, we receive process and issue the following licences:

  • Tourist Enterprise Licence
  • Pleasure Craft Licence
  • Skippers Licence
Roles and Functions
  • To license, regulate and supervise tourist enterprises
  • To register, license and regulate the use of pleasure craft with the help of officers from the Tourism Authority Mauritius
  • Take appropriate measures for the protection of consumers of the tourism industry with regards to complaints
  • Organizing of training of skippers prior to issue of licenses to ensure professionalism

The key roles of the Tourism Enforcement Officers

  1. Ensure Coordination with the Tourism Technical Team with regards to site visit reports in respect of new applications
  2. Preserve and enhance the image of Rodrigues by ensuring compliance (Enforcement) with the RRA Tourism Regulations 2007 to ensure that all establishments are in norms
  3. Attends to complaints with regards to Tourism enterprise.
