Vision
  • To allow the Rodriguan public to have access to a large collection of materials relating to Rodrigues, Mauritius and the International in the form of documentary resources in print as well as electronic formats
Mission
  • To provide equal access to information to the public in general
  • To ensure a comprehensive record of Rodriguana Collection focusing on documents relating to Rodrigues
  • To ensure a selected record of universal human knowledge is collected and catered for
  • To collect Mauritiana publications, including electronic information resources
  • To ensure that the CELPAC allows for efficient and effective access to its collection
  • To ensure that the Library’s collections are classified, catalogued and indexed and are easily retrieved through online catalogue
  • To provide internet facilities with a view to provide quality and timely reference and information services to the public in general
  • To ensure that Rodriguans, wherever they reside, have access to information resources;
  • To foster an intellectual life and a culture of books
  • To enhance the role of the Rodrigues Library Service by encouraging creative and  intellectual initiatives through school children
  • To provide adequate and attractive indoor games as a means of cultural enhancement for children within all the CLACS
  • To ensure that cultural activities are organised at a regular basis within all the CLAC services for the promotion of reading and increase in the library clientele
