The Prime Minister, Mr. Pravind Jugnauth, this Tuesday, August 30, 2022 proceeded to inaugurate a new fire station at Mon Plaisir in the center of Rodrigues Island. The new development will allow islanders to access emergency services at any time. The Prime Minister will say there is nothing more important than the safety of residents and that emergency services play an essential role in everyday life. We have to face several challenges together with the regional administration. I remain committed to ensuring sustainable development for Rodrigues,” he said. “We must not forget factors beyond our control like climate change and its effects.” <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Prime Minister also wanted to congratulate 24 new Rodrigues firefighters who take service today, among two young Rodrigues. The PM rejoiced that women are also taking interest in this difficult profession. The Prime Minister also talked about the citizen’s civic responsibility, or not to interfere with the work of first responders.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
