About Us
The ‘ATELIER DE SAVOIR’ project was officially launched in Rodrigues on 13 June 2003 and is implemented by the Rodrigues Regional Youth Council (RRYC) with the support of the Commission for Youth and Sports. The project aims at empowering out of -school youngsters aged between 16-21 years acquire professional skills and knowledge that will later help them found their place in the working world.
Training in the ATELIER DE SAVOIRS is in the following fields: Agriculture, mechanics and welding, pastry/agro – processing, woodwork and sewing. Trainings such as Life Skills / Family Life Education, Entrepreneurship, Duke of Edinburgh’s Award (DoFE), Sexual Reproductive Health and handicraft are also dispensed in the different Atelier de Savoirs.

The objectives of the project:
- Facilitate the exchange of knowledge and skills among trainees, fostering a collaborative learning environment.
- Provide training and workshops to help trainees develop practical skills that can be applied in their own enterprise in the long run
- Encouraging creative thinking and innovative problem-solving through hands-on activities and collaborative projects.
- Empowering trainees by providing them with the tools and knowledge needed to pursue their goals and improve their quality of life.
- Foster a culture of lifelong learning, encouraging trainees to continually seek out new knowledge and skills throughout their lives.
